Giants plan to keep Ereck Flowers, for now

The Giants are treating Ereck Flowers like the stuff in your garage. Since they can’t sell it on Cragislist, they’ll just hang onto it, thinking they’ll find a use for it some day.

According to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, the Giants current plan Aston Villa Cheap Jerseys is to keep the former starting left tackle and work with him whenever he shows up, rather than part ways with him immediately.

The Chargers made it official yesterday, saying goodbye to longtime tight end Antonio Gates.

But that plan was put into motion the moment they drafted Hunter Henry, and he knows that puts more of a burden of expectation on him moving forward.

“When I came in, it can be an intimidating thing when you come into that situation — a Hall of Famer, first ballot, and one of the greatest tight ends of all time [playing with you]. So, it can be intimidating, but he took me under his wing and taught me everything he could these past two years,” Henry said, via Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times. “It’s been incredible. He’s still a great friend of mine. I talk to him. I was with him a couple of weekends ago. It’s been really cool to be able to play with him these past two years.

It would have been natural to expect the hard-throwing right hander to be a little more amped up than usual. Even Red Sox manager Alex Cora thought he would be.

He was okay. Actually I thought he was going to be worse, Cora laughed. “This place is alive. I lived it last year during the playoffs. They’re showing up early and they’re loud. It’s a good environment, and it was a good baseball game.”

That works in a quick-strike spread scheme but not quite as well Bing Cheap Jerseys in the deeper-dropback play-action game that Jacksonville should have known it would need with Bortles.

Allen Robinson, a perimeter vertical threat, is perfect for a deeper-dropping play-action scheme, which is why he had 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2015.

An underwhelming 2016 campaign, however, plus a torn ACL in Week 2 last year, made him too risky to re-sign.
